Rosemary holds a B.A. in English and a Master’s Degree in English Education from the University of Minnesota. Rosemary established The English Tutor in 2001 as means to provide students with additional English and verbal enrichment outside of the classroom and to prepare them for their pre-college exams. Although her primary focus is on test prep, Rosemary continues to help high school students develop better academic writing skills and higher-level analytical reading skills.

Rosemary has over 31 years of teaching experience and 23 years specifically as a test prep instructor with proven results. During her years as a test prep instructor, Rosemary has helped dozens of students reach National Merit Scholarship status on the PSAT and perfect scores on both the ACT & SAT.

Rosemary is equally adept at working with students who have learning disabilities that range from ADHD to Asperger’s to Processing Disorders to Dyslexia and Dysgraphia. Parents exclaim how much their child learns from Rosemary and students say that Rosemary takes the mystery out of the ACT and makes test prep fun!

Rosemary’s many teaching awards include recognition in Who’s Who in American Teachers (four times), Outstanding Teacher of the Year from the University of Chicago, The Golden Apple Achiever Award, and nomination for Ashland Oil Teacher of the Year.
